It's finally here again - berry season! Sour-sweet berries harmonise wonderfully with the natural oat aroma of our hearty classic. They are also a real energy booster in the morning - and perfect for a wholesome breakfast without added sugar.
Berries contain valuable vitamins and minerals, such as iron. With this strong topping you'll start a warm summer day just right!
Ingredients
5 minutes | 1 bowl of porridge
- 50g 3Bears Porridge A hearty classic
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 150ml milk
- Raspberries
- Blackberries
- chopped peanuts
- Pumpkin seeds
- Agave syrup
Preparation
- Put the berries in a bag the day before and put them in the freezer overnight.
- Cook the porridge according to the basic recipe. Special feature: Roast the oat flakes briefly in coconut oil beforehand and then pour in the milk. Mix the oat flakes with the milk in a saucepan and let the porridge simmer on the stove over medium heat for about 3 minutes. In the meantime, you can take the berries out of the freezer so that they thaw slightly.
- Remove the porridge from the heat and set it aside for a few minutes. The mixture may still be a little runny, as the porridge will soak up as it cools down.
- Now it's time to top it! Pour the warm porridge into a bowl and distribute the berries, peanuts and pumpkin seeds on top. If you like, you can also add agave syrup or honey on top. And your hearty breakfast is ready!
