Sunday is Mother's Day! A day when you want to show your mum how much you love her. You don't need an expensive gift for this. As we all know, the way to your heart is through your stomach. So how about bringing your mum a magically topped porridge bowl for breakfast in bed this year?
How about this fairytale chocolate chai porridge from blogger Yonca? A spoonful tastes like the Arabian Nights. This will make your mum's day!
The recipe
Serving: One bowl Time: approx. 10 minutes.
You need:
- 50g 3Bears Cinnamon Apple
- 1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 125 ml chocolate chai tea
- 150 ml almond milk
- 1 tbsp sugar substitute
This is how it's done:
- Put the porridge, cocoa and sugar substitute in a pot and mix everything together.
- Now add the brewed chocolate chai tea.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly.
- Now add the milk and boil the porridge again.
- Remove the pot from the heat when the desired consistency is reached.
- Then you can portion the porridge into a nice bowl and top it as you like.
