Who doesn't remember the smell of mum's cookies that wafted through the whole house on Sundays and the feeling of happiness that came from snacking on the still-hot cookies from the baking tray? Mother's Day gives us the opportunity to revel in these memories and say thank you to our mothers with a personal gift. With this beautifully decorated, lovingly layered baking mix you are guaranteed to sweeten your mom's special day.
Ingredients for the baking mix (makes approx. 25 cookies)
- 120g 3Bears Porridge A hearty classic
- 80g 3Bears Porridge Three kinds of berries
- 120g spelled flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- 70g brown sugar
- 40g dried cranberries
- 30g chopped pistachios
- ¼ tsp cardamom, ground
- 1 pinch of salt
Aside from that
- A pretty screw-top or preserving jar with a capacity of approx. 1 l
- Gift ribbons
- Gift tags
Preparation
To make the baking mixture, divide the ingredients into six different layers, which you add to your glass one after the other and smooth out with a spoon.Layer 1: Flour, baking powder and salt
Layer 2: Sugar and Cardamom
Layer 3: 3Bears Porridge Three kinds of berries
Layer 4: 3Bears Porridge A hearty classic
Layer 5: Pistachios
Layer 6: Cranberries
After adding all the layers to your jar, close it and decorate it with pretty ribbons. Write the recipe for your mum (see below) on a gift tag, which you also attach to the jar.
Recipe for the recipient
- Baking mix
- 120g margarine
- 50 ml oat milk
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- Beat the margarine with the oat milk in a mixing bowl until fluffy.
- Add the entire baking mixture and mix everything well.
- Form about 25 small balls out of the dough and flatten them slightly on the baking tray.
- Bake the cookies for about 10 minutes until lightly browned.
- Let the cookies cool and store in an airtight container.
